Hafnium Zirconium Carbon
What is Hafnium Zirconium Carbon(ZHM alloy)?
Hafnium Zirconium Carbon (ZHM alloy) is molybdenum alloy which composed of molybdenum as matrix element and alloying elements including zirconium, hafnium, and carbon. The most famous is the zirconium 0.4wt% to 0.7wt% (mass fraction), molybdenum alloy of hafnium 1.2wt% to 2.1wt% (mass fraction) and carbon 0.15wt% to 0.27wt% (mass fraction), namely ZHM molybdenum alloy or ZHM alloy.
ZHM alloys' room - temperature tensile strength is higher than TZM molybdenum alloy of approximately 40% to 50% and it t is the highest intensity molybdenum alloy.
By sintered powder metallurgy into ingots after the 1200℃ forging processing, deformation 50% to 75% or higher, intermediate 8h 1200℃ by hydrogen annealing. Different processing and heat treatment on the final alloy great impact on the performance. ZHM alloy is still in the development stage, mainly processed into ingots was built, as superalloy powder isothermal forging die.
